FORTVILLE- Judy Ann Kitley, 77, of Fortville, passed away November 10, 2025.
She was born November 11, 1947, in Shelby County, Indiana to the late Clarence and Margaret (Jones) Lanham and was a lifelong Fortville resident.
Judy was a 1965 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and was a member of Fortville Christian Church. She enjoyed horseback riding, camping, trips to Brown County, and time spent around a campfire with loved ones. She had a summer home on the Ohio river, and she spent almost every weekend in the summer as a child, swimming, boating and skiing. She also took her daughters almost every weekend as they grew up and then grandchildren. She loved that place. It was home away from home. It was called The River. Her family was everything to her.
Survivors include daughters, Lori (husband, J.R.) Wyatt of Lakeland, Florida, and Nikki Bell and Dannell Kessler both of Fortville; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Rick Lanham, Mark Lanham and Tracy Clift; several nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rod Pennell; and a sister, Terry Salinas.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, December 5, 2025, at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, 9088 W. 1050 S., Fortville, Indiana 46040.
