Judy R. Shook, 83, of AuSable Forks, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus with her niece Amy by her side on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Meadowbrook Healthcare, Plattsburgh NY.
She was born in Cincinnati, OH on July 13, 1941, the daughter of Harry and Ruth (Seevers) Johnston.
Judy put God before all others, but Judy loved her family and knew how to make anyone happy with her jokes and thar addicting smile of hers. She spent most of her adult life caring for those she loved. She worked at Bethesda Montgomery Care Center in Montgomery Ohio, as a Cna. Upon retirement she volunteered her time at Hospice of Cincinnati. That is just who Judy was, a woman who lived to love and care for others. Judy loved her cats, most recently her beloved Minnie, she loved birds and could name every bird that flew by. She loved to do puzzle books and to read. Especially her Bible.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister-in-law and close friend, Katherine Johnston, Many nieces and nephews: Her niece amy (Ernie), Donald Linville (Janice), Susan Hilligoss (Richard), MaryKay Anaya, Carrie Thompson (Greg), Ben Johnston (Gina) Theresa Johnston (Andy) and Greg Johnston. She leaves behind numerous great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her siblings George Johnston, Harold Johnston and her sister Alice Linville, and numerous aunts and uncles and cousins.
When Judy passed from this life we are saddened and we will miss her terribly, BUT she knew the greeting that was waiting for in heaven, and what a joyous reunion that was.
Thank you to the staff at Meadowbrook Healthcare for the warmth and compassion given to Judy and family during her time there.
I would like to extend a special thank you to Coleen Carise from The Clinton County Dept of Social Services. What an amazing soul you are.
Services will be private at the convenience of her family.
