Judy Ann Smith, 78, of Albemarle, gained her angel wings on Saturday, December 27, 2025.
Judy was born January 31, 1947, in Albemarle to the late DeWitt and Vernie Mills. She was also preceded in death by husband, John Smith; son, Earl Pittman, Jr.; sisters, Linda Crisco, Barbara Davis and Mary Daniels.
Judy will be remembered for being strong, even through adversity. Judy loved her cats and going to the beach. She dearly loved her family and was always trying to take care of and be there for everybody. She was best friends with her daughter, Amy, and dearly loved her grandson, Devin.
Survivors include daughter, Amy LaFluer (John Kennedy); son, David Pittman; grandson, Timothy Devin LaFluer; sisters, Lou Archer, Susan Mauney, Tammy Deaton, Kelly Speights, and Kathy Wheeler; brothers, Steve Mills and Matthew Mills; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 am - 12:45 pm, Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Pastor Delane Burris. Burial will follow at Norview Gardens, Norwood.
