JUDY LASTER TIDWELL

JUDY LYNN LASTER TIDWELL, age 69, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Vanderbilt Tullahoma Harton Hospital with her loving family at her side following an extended illness. Mrs. Tidwell was born in Fayetteville, Tenn., to the late Walter Samuel Laster and Wilma Jean Moore Laster on July 20, 1956. She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Huntland. She was a 1975 graduate of Huntland High School. Mrs. Tidwell was employed for approximately 32 years as a School Bus Driver for the Franklin County School System. Mrs. Tidwell almost always worked two jobs along with being a bus driver. She also worked at the former Food Lion and then at Wal-Mart in Winchester in the Deli Departments. She enjoyed watching her hummingbirds and vacationing at the beaches in Florida. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister that was always placing people before herself.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Laster. She is survived by her husband of 25 years Cliff Tidwell, of Winchester. Children; Michelle Carlisle and husband, Kelly of Winchester, Christina Price and husband, Donald of Surprise, Arizona, Mack Williams of New Market, Alabama, Denise Marston and husband, Allen of Decherd, Tenn., Amie Rhoton and husband, Kevin of Hillsboro, Tenn., Jamie Meister and husband, Tracey of Manchester, Tenn., and David Tidwell and wife, Eugenia of San Antonio, Texas. 16-grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and siblings; Betty Rose and husband, Jimmy of Lynchburg, Tenn., Fay Farris of Winchester, Tenn., Sam Laster, Carl Laster and wife Vicky and Shannon Laster all of Huntland.

Services for Mrs. Tidwell will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 17, in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services, LLC with Bro. Kevin Rhoton, officiating.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until Service time at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services, LLC on Wednesday prior to the service.

Interment will follow services at Moore Memorial Cemetery in Huntland with Justin Sells, Allan Myrston, Cody Rhoton, Jacob Rhoton, Chance Hodges and Daniel Meister serving as pallbearers.
