JOHN ALLEN DAVIS, age 74, of Decherd, Tenn., departed this life on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Betty's Place in Huntland, Tenn., surrounded by his loving and devoted family following an extended illness. Mr. Davis was born on January 29, 1951, in Winchester, Tenn., to the late Ernest Benton Davis and Vera Cordelia Hinshaw Davis. Mr. Davis was a 1970 graduate of Franklin County High School. He was employed at the former Wagner Plant in Tullahoma for approximately 15 years before he was employed and retired from the Franklin County School System as a plumber and Electrician in the Maintenance Department. His hobbies included hunting and fishing or anything outdoors. He enjoyed taking care of and collecting his many pets. Anytime he saw an injured animal he felt the need to help it and take care of it. Needless to say, he was a big man with a big heart that dearly loved his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin sisters, Ernestine Gipson and Imogene Gipson.

He is survived by his children; Holli Sons and husband, Mark of Winchester, Steven Davis and wife, Karlee of Huntland, Tenn. 3-Grandchildren; Garrett Sons, Savannah Davis and Stratton Davis, sisters; Linda Acree of the Greenhaw Community, Bobbi Wheat of Winchester, Brother, Larry Davis and wife Karen of Palmer, Tenn., and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, September 21, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services, LLC in Estill Springs, Tenn.

Visitation with the family will be held from 2:00 P.M. until service time at 4:00 on Sunday prior to the service.
