Miss Judy Darlene Wagner, age 66 of Mount Airy passed away on Saturday morning, August 16, 2025, at Surry Community Health Center by Harborview surrounded by her loving family. Miss Wagner was born on April 8, 1959, in Surry County to the late Hansel and Violet Scott Wagner Lawson. Judy was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving is her sister and brother-in-law, Brenda Wagner Hawks and Kenny; brother and sister-in-law, Eddie Wagner and Judy, along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Miss Wagner was preceded in the death by a brother, Donnie Wagner. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Reverend Larry Thomas and Dr. Jonathan Casstevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Maple Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Moody Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, P.O. Box 325, Dobson, North Carolina 27017 Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
