Jules R. Cornet

Jules R. Cornet, 86, a 67- year resident of Severn, MD, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2024 at the Rebecca Fortney Inpatient Care Center in Pasadena, MD. He was born on June 20, 1938, in Point Marion, PA to the late Jules D. Cornet and Sarah Jenkins.
Jules graduated high school and earned a Machining Certificate from Johns Hopkins University. He proudly served in the Air Force National Guard and spent his career working at Koppers Company, Machined Parts Service and H&H Machine Service. A dedicated Mason, Jules was known for his commitment to service and community.
In his personal life, Jules was passionate about hot rods and custom cars, a devoted fan of the Baltimore Ravens and enjoyed indulging in Maryland blue crabs. He loved boating and cherished watching his grandsons grow.
In addition to his parents, Jules was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 32 years, Helga C. Cornet.
He is survived by his daughter, Heide Cornet Hostelley of Severn, MD and her husband, William V. Hostelley, III, as well as two grandsons, Brock and Brent Hostelley.
Friends are invited to celebrate Jules's life on Friday, October 18 from 10 am until his funeral service begins at 11 am at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park, 7231 Ritchie Hwy., Suite E, Glen Burnie, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to REV Accessibility, 18001 Sunset Lake Ct., Olney, MD 20832.
