Juli Hardin

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Juli Ann Hardin, age 61, who left us on July 16, 2025, in Boise, Idaho, after a sudden lung hemorrhage.

Juli was born on April 1, 1964, at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Tacoma, Washington, to Lynda Ann Walker and Arnold (Jim) Jaimes McCormick, a drill sergeant at the time. As an "Army brat," she had the privilege of traveling the world and experiencing diverse cultures, with a special fondness for her time spent in Greece. Her love for the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, particularly the pine forests, would stay with her throughout her life.

In her teenage years, Juli and her mother moved to Payette, Idaho, where she completed high school. Though she was initially saddened to leave Washington, she quickly adapted to her new life in Idaho and made lifelong friendships, including with Liz Gatchel and Gail Grippe. A cherished memory of this time was her love for the local band "Pegleg," with whom she spent many hours watching and hanging out.

Juli enlisted in the Air Force after high school, eventually achieving the rank of Tech Sergeant. During her time at Gowen Field in Boise, she gave birth to her son, Danny. Following her honorable service, Juli pursued her education, earning an associate's degree in criminal justice and a bachelor's degree in medical administration. She worked tirelessly to support herself, including stints as a flagger for Specialty Construction and at the BSU bookstore.

Juli's dedication to public service led her to a rewarding 25-year career in the military and federal government, where she worked at the Air National Guard, the Air Force, and the Veterans Administration in Boise. She served with distinction as a Radiology Records Technician, taking immense pride in her work and her role in supporting veterans. Her devotion to her country and fellow service members was a cornerstone of her life.

In 2012, Juli married the love of her life, Terry Joe Hardin, and together they made their home in Boise County, Idaho. Juli's passions included wood burning, designing Celtic knots, making jewelry, creating mandalas, and spending time in nature, especially on long drives through the mountains and at her beloved spot in Warren, Idaho. She had an affinity for wildlife, and her creative works reflected her deep connection to the natural world.

Juli was a woman of great faith, trusting and loving God completely throughout her life. She was also a proud cancer survivor, demonstrating strength, courage, and resilience in all she faced. Juli was a compassionate, charitable woman with a heart as big as her spirit.

But above all, her granddaughter, Alessa, was Juli's whole world. She adored her with all her heart. For the past nine years, Juli cherished every moment she spent with Alessa, and having her at her house brought her immense joy. Their bond was truly special, and Alessa brought unparalleled happiness and love into Juli's life.

Juli is survived by her husband, Terry Joe Hardin; her son, Danny Jaimes Pero; her granddaughter, Alessa; her brother, Michael McGuire; her Aunt, Brenda Hopkins, and her husband, Tony Hopkins; her beloved cats, Milo and Meme; as well as many friends and extended family. She is predeceased by her mother and best friend, Lynda Ann Walker; her father, Arnold (Jim) Jaimes McCormick; and her dog, Willow.

A private memorial service will be held to honor and remember Juli-a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and courageous woman who dedicated her life to service and to others.

Memorial Services:

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service celebrating Juli's life on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. in Warren, Idaho, where she will be lovingly laid to rest in the place she held most dear.

Celebration of Life:

A public Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Discovery Park, where friends and family can gather to share memories, stories, and laughter in honor of Juli's vibrant spirit.
