Julia Johnson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heartland Cremation & Burial Society - Greater Kansas City, Missouri - Rayt on Jan. 19, 2026.
Julia Ann Johnson, 69, of Kansas City, Missouri, went home to be with Jesus on January 14, 2026. Julia, known as Julie to those who loved her, was born on January 2, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Julie grew up in Eastwood Hills and graduated from Raytown High School, where she formed lifelong friendships she deeply cherished. On October 1, 1976, she married the love of her life, John "Ron" Johnson, beginning a lifetime of love, faith, and devotion.

Julie spent her entire career in the automotive industry, where she built lasting friendships and earned the respect of all who knew her. She truly never met a stranger loving everyone she met with her infectious smile, warm spirit, and unforgettable hugs.

She was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren and took great joy in celebrating their accomplishments in school, youth activities, military and Scouts. She loved to sing, whether in choir growing up, karaoke with family and friends, or lifting her voice in praise at church. Together, Ron and Julie were active and devoted members of LifeQuest Church, where they treasured their church family and faithfully served.

Julie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ron, her mother Kathryn Gooch, and brother Tom Gooch. She is survived by her children: Christie (Wade) Williams, John (Kristin) Johnson, and Jeramie Johnson; grandchildren: Braden Williams, Alyssa Williams, Madison Johnson-Hicks, Calla Johnson, Kacie Johnson, Kendall Johnson, and Jaiden Johnson; sister Sandy Harris, brother Wes Gooch, and numerous extended family members and dear friends.

Julie's legacy of family, faith, and friendship will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 26, 2026, at LifeQuest Church, 1400 N. Scott Ave., Belton, Missouri 64012.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to LifeQuest Church at 1400 N. Scott Ave., Belton, MO 64012 or https://www.lifequest.church/give.
