Julia Belle Luellen

Julia Belle Lockhart Luellen, age 93, of Waverly, TN, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025, at TriStar Horizon Medical in Dickson, TN. She was born in Tennessee Ridge, TN, on October 8, 1931, to the late Annie May Huff Lockhart and William Luther Lockhart. Julia's life was marked by unwavering faith and a selfless spirit. She was a member of Waverly First Baptist Church and a previous member of Waverly Church of the Nazarene. Julia was very active and devoted her time to the church in numerous ways, ministering to those of all ages. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors, manicuring her yard, and witnesses God's beauty through nature in plants and flowers. She will be remembered by those who loved and knew her as a loving mom, grandma, great grandma, sister, aunt, and friend to many.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Linda Luellen of Clinton Township, MI, Carol Davis (Bob) of Leesburg, FL, and Charles Luellen (Teresa) of Waverly, TN; grandchildren, Kevin White, Lori White, Tommy White, Sam Davis (Candice), Jennifer Lynch, Hannah Ebeling (Jason), Andrew Anderson, Shelby Braddock (Jameson), Justin Beuhler-Hoard (Charlie), Ashley Shaw (Andrew), and Charleigh Shanks (Paxton); great grandchildren, Jordan, Declan, Jacey, Jack, Colton, Jayden, Ashton, Lilian, Ben, Bobby, Baylor, Justin, Mikey, Aldyn, Axton, Amerson, Weston, and Makenna Belle; and brothers, Gary Lockhart and Donald Lockhart.
Along with her parents, Julia is preceded in death by her husband, James Davis Luellen, Sr.; sons, Tommy Lee White, Gerald Wayne White, and James D. Luellen, Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Lois White.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, beginning at 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Garrette Milliken officiating the service. Pallbearers are Charles Luellen, Bob Davis, Paxton Shanks, Khoury Shanks, Jay Ebeling, and JT Braddock. Interment to follow at Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly, TN.
