St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Notre Dame Catholic Church honoring the life of Julia "Pinky" Cole Menard, 83, who passed away on September 21, 2025, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice.
A visitation will take place at Notre Dame Catholic Church on Saturday from 7:30 AM until time of service.
A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 AM on Saturday.
Rev. Abelardo Gabriel S.V.D. will officiate at the Funeral Mass.
Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
An active member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, she participated joyfully in the church choir and cherished her role within her faith community.
Julia's life was deeply enriched by her family and friends. She enjoyed gathering with them for cookouts, dancing, and relished every moment spent watching the New Orleans Saints football games. Her vivacious spirit and warm laughter will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
She is survived by her children, Edward Menard, Jr., Eula (Dwight) Faulk, and Laura (Kevin) Mitchell; grandchildren, Desiree Faulk, Maegan Flugence and Edward Menard, III; six great grandchildren; brother, Calvin (Betty) Cole; and her sister, Geraldine Robertson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Menard, Sr.; parents, Robert and Eula Lee Cole; and her siblings, Margaret "May" Cole Williams, Doloris Cole, Robert Cole, Samuel Cole, Joseph Cole, and Alvin Cole.
