It is with heavy hearts that the family of Julia Christine Ownby Pogue announce her passing on October 25th, 2023. Julia spent her final days surrounded by her loving family.
Julia was born on January 5th,1970 in Ft. Worth, TX at Carswell Airforce Base to Sam M. Ownby and Cheryl E. Ownby. Julia attended Haltom High School where she graduated. Two short years later she met, and later married on March 2nd, 1991, George W. Pogue.
Julia was best known for her generous heart, sense of humor, and her ability to befriend someone everywhere she went. She loved making people happy, always putting others before herself. She enjoyed taking road trips, listening to music, and going to the beach with family. Her favorite times in life were spent laughing with friends and family. Julia would light up a room with her beautiful smile and twinkle in her eyes. She was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother, and nana.
Julia leaves behind to cherish her memories, husband of 32 years, George (Bill) Pogue; children, Ashtin Naito and her husband Raymond; Taylor Pogue and his fiance Fany; father Sam M. Ownby and his wife Deborah; mother Cheryl E Ownby; grandchildren Briley and Oliver Naito; sister Michelle Taylor; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In her honor, there will be a celebration of life on Saturday, November 18th, 2023 at 10am at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034
