Memorial Service will be for Julia Powell age 90 of O’Neill, Nebraska will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater, Nebraska with Pastor Chad Boggs officiating. Burial will be in McCoy Cemetery at Meadow Grove, Nebraska. Julia passed away on January 26. 2025 at Arbor Care in Neligh, Nebraska. Snider Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Julia L. Powell was born on July 22, 1934 to Jacob and Genevieve (Cobler) Worley at Norfolk, Nebraska. She attended school at Norfolk. Julia was united in marriage to Raynold Powell on July 3, 1950 at Stanton, Nebraska. She worked as a waitress and did some cooking at local restaurants, babysitting, and sold Avon. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, doing crafts, playing cards, and BINGO. Julia was always known for sending cards for everyone's birthday and special occasions.
She is survived by her children: Donna Koehler of O’Neill, NE; Guy (Medea) Powell of Creighton, NE; Sherry (James) Babcock of Winnetoon, NE; Starla Lerner of Stanton, NE; Emma Powell of Clearwater, NE. 13 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren. Sister, Jennie Schrage of Clearwater, NE; sister-in-law Maxine Worley of Tilden, NE; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband (1970). Brothers: Albert, Ernest (Patricia), Glen, and Johnny and Sisters: Maxine Dow and Vivian Watson Schrage (Calvin Watson and Claude Schrage). Brother-in-law Cyril Schrage. Son-in-law, Herman Koehler. Special Friend Eugene Armstrong.
