Julia Denise Salazar, a loving mother, a striking beauty, a source of endless laughter, and a genuinely talented soul, passed away on September 22, 2023, leaving behind a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
Born on September 5, 1978, Julia's life was a vibrant masterpiece. Her artistic spirit knew no bounds, and she wove a tapestry of creativity that left a lasting mark on all who had the privilege of witnessing it. She was a multidisciplinary artist and an engaging performer, using her gifts to bring joy and inspiration to those around her. Her expressive talents encompassed painting, sketching, guitar playing, and singing–often covering her favorite songs.
Julia is survived by her beloved daughter, Sophia Jane Dyer, her mother, Sandra Ríos, and her papa, Gilberto Ríos. Julia was preceded in death by her father, Steve Rodríguez, who welcomed her into the embrace of eternity. She is also remembered by her sister, Lucía Rodríguez, brother-in-law Jesse, nephew and niece, Jaymond and Emma, and her adoring younger brother, Gilbert Ríos. She is forever in the hearts of her loving uncle, aunts, close cousins, and extended family–including Mama Kitty.
Beyond her artistic pursuits, Julia regularly embarked on adventures, like treasure hunting at local garage sales, with her mother and her cherished daughter. Together, they created precious memories and discovered hidden gems that reflected the beauty of their shared experiences.
Julia's compassion extended beyond her art. She had a deep love for rescuing neighborhood stray cats, instilling in her daughter the values of kindness, empathy, and the importance of caring for those in need.
Julia's magnetic presence, her laughter, and her artistic legacy will continue illuminating our lives, and her love will remain in our hearts forever. She will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate to know her.
