Julian F. Jaramillo, born on November 21, 1936, in Canon de Vallecitos, New Mexico, to Adelaido Jaramillo and Fedelina Salazar, passed away on July 7, 2025, at Rio Grande Nursing home in La Jara, Colorado, Julian enjoyed outdoor activities especially camping at his campsite in La Cieniga, New Mexico. In his younger years he liked ranch work and riding horses. Julian loved the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.
Julian is survived by his wife Lupe Jaramillo from their home in Pojaque, NM, daughter Debbie (Jess) Armenta of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his son Daniel (Cindy) Jaramillo of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Darryle (Jennifer) Jaramillo) of LaJara, Colorado; Timothy (Rita) Jaramillo of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and stepson George Ortega of Blanca, Colorado. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, siblings Dora Winters, Ida Pena, Shirley(Ray) Casias, Victor (Mary Esther) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special nephew and niece Bobby and Ranae Lopez Julian was preceded in death by his parents, sister Rose Dominguez, brother Abel Jaramillo, grandson Luke Jaramillo, and stepchildren Sandra Ortega, Monica Pena and Alex Ortega.
Cremation was chosen and family will honor Julian at a graveside service at a later date. To leave online condolences please visit romerofuneralhome.com. The car arrangements has been trusted to Romero Valley funeral home of Alamosa.
