Julian Dennis Rousseau

Julian went to his heavenly home on February 3, 2022, at the age of 30. He was known for his sarcastic sense of humor, witty comebacks, his free-spirited, modern hippie attitude, and heart of service. For many years, Julian worked as a Sous Chef in various local restaurants. Wanting to spend more time with his daughter, he went on to pursue his dream of earning a degree in IT and opened a local small business, JR Electronic Repair, specializing in game repair, his true passion.

Julian loved music, Star Wars, Rick and Morty, Marvel and DC Comics superheroes but most of all, Julian loved being a dad to his beautiful daughter, Nova. He was her superhero. He spent most of his time with his family, making lasting memories with them, that they will treasure forever. He is already deeply missed.

Julian leaves behind his beloved daughter, Nova Rousseau; and her mother, Katie McCaleb; his significant other, Stephene Hunt; and her two children, Athena Hunt and Raiden Hunt, whom he cared for deeply; parents, Diane White and Gerald Rousseau Jr.; brother, PV2 Christian Rousseau; sisters, Alleigh Shupe and Emma Shupe; honorary sister, Emily Jones; grandparents, Elizabeth Vining, Odis and Sharon White; aunts and uncles, Denise Simpson and husband Brad, David White, Laura Terrebonne and husband David, Christine "Kristi" Rousseau and Fernando Cruz, Jill Wicker and fiancé Chip Ratcliff; as well as numerous cousins and other extended family.

Preceding Julian in death were his grandparents, Dennis Vining, Gerald Rousseau Sr., Anita Walker; and his aunt, Dana McCrae.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Saturday, February 12th, 2022 at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, from 3:00 p.m. until the Celebration of Life 4:00 p.m. Bro. Lonnie Shupe will be officiating the services. Visitation will resume after the close of the service.
