Julie Schade Brian

Julie Schade Brian passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on October 18, 2025. She was born to Leigh and Tom Schade on September 21, 1967. Julie dedicated her life to service both in the military and at home.
Julie proudly served in the army for over 32 years achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Her military career took her to various parts of the world to include tours in Micronesia, Walter Reed Army Medical center and Afghanistan where she earned numerous accommodations for her bravery and leadership. Her commitment to her country was unwavering. She was a true source of inspiration to all that knew her. Following her distinguished service Julie continued to serve veterans at Lexington VA Medical Center Bowling Campus the where she was known for her can-do positive attitude, dedication, fairness, and compassion. She left a lasting impact on those she served and worked along side of. Julie is survived by her father Tom, brother Tommy (Lou), step children Keely and Ben, Aunt Sue Feola and Uncle Fred Schade.
Her legacy of service love and dedication will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
A funeral service to honor Julie's life and service will be held at Kerr Brothers funeral home 3421 Harrodsburg Rd., Lexington, KY 40513.
Calling hours are 4 to 8 PM on October 30.
A funeral service will take place on Friday, October 31 at 10:30am with military honors rendered following at Camp Nelson cemetery gravesite.
