Julie Cathryn Stine Bruen entered her heavenly home in the early hours of Sunday, February 18, 2024, at the young age of 40. At the time she was living in Mt. Pleasant, TN.
She was the daughter of Danny and Jessica Stine who reside in Jackson, TN. Julie attended public schools in Jackson from Kindergarten through the eighth grade and graduated from high school at Jackson Christian School in 2001.
Julie was a very creative individual. When she was younger, she enjoyed scrapbooking and music of all types. She took piano and dance and loved to sing. At one point she considered a career in interior decorating or a makeup artist.
As an adult, Julie was employed as a server in several Jackson restaurants including El Chico, the Jackson County Club and Cheddars. She also for a brief time was employed with Conagra in Jackson, TN. One of her favorite things to do was to watch movies with her dad. She was known to give her dad a movie or book for his birthday and Christmas and her mom little things including “Precious Moments” figurines, small knick-knacks, and other mementos. She attended Calvary Baptist Church and gave her life to Jesus when she was 10 years old.
She is survived by four sons whom she loved with all her heart, Gabriel Bruen, Jace Cook, Kylar Cook and Noah Cook; her parents, Danny and Jessica Stine; her brother, Matthew Stine and his wife Jillian Cantor and their children, Abigal, Isabella, Ali Kate Stine and Grant Stine; her grandmother, Mearl Stine; her uncles, Ron, Randy and wife Jean and Jeff Haynes; her aunts, Linda Barnes and husband David and Patsy Franklin and husband Eddie and a great uncle Joe Stine and his wife Diana.
SERVICES: A celebration of Julie’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2024, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. Dedra Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.
A visitation with family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 11:30 a.m. and continuing until the service.
The family is requesting that memorial contributions be directed to Fresh Start Columbia, 404 South Main Street, Mt. Pleasant, TN 38474.
