Julie Michelle Erwin-Hart

Julie Erwin Hart, 52, of Haubstadt, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on May 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on January 6, 1973, Julie committed her life to nurturing others-both in her personal life and through her work. She was a devoted mother to her two children, Makenzie and Camden, and beloved sister to Amy (Robert) Norris and Christie Gresham.

She also held a special place in the hearts of her nieces, Cortney, Sydney, and Whitney (John) and nephew Kegan (Sarah), along with her great nieces and nephews. Julie was the cherished daughter of Linda "Sue" Erwin Jones (Mick). She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Erwin.

Julie dedicated 26 years to teaching at Owensville Community School, where her passion for education and compassion for students left a lasting impact on countless lives. She was more than an educator-she was a mentor, a role model, and a source of unwavering support for her fellow coworkers and the community.

A proud graduate of Tecumseh High School, Julie went on to earn both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Oakland City University, where she played collegiate softball.

Julie enjoyed spending time with her loved ones-making memories with friends and family.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Julie's life at North Friendship General Baptist Church. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16th from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday, May 17th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with the funeral service immediately following at 12:00 PM, with Cody Glassco officiating. Burial will be in Lynnville Cemetery.

Julie's memory will forever be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warmth, light, and love will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
