Julie A. Lamons, age 71, of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas, passed away on February 25, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, nana, sister, artist, and woman of unwavering faith.
Born on March 25, 1953, Julie was the beloved wife of Denver Lamons and the cherished mother of Karen Kennedy (John) and Sharen DeWitt (Todd). She was a proud and loving nana to Hunter Walls (27), Aliyah Halfacre (23), Ashlyn Curlette (21), and Hailee Walls (21). Her siblings, Billy Crawford (Donna), Gene Crawford (Cosondra), Judy Eddings (Paul), William Crawford, many nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Julie was a gifted and accomplished artist, earning her degree in Art in 2005. She was the proud co-founder of Arkansas Twin Artists and dedicated her life to creating masterpieces that now grace churches, museums, and homes across the country. Art was not just her talent; it was her passion and her ministry. Through her work, she shared her deep love for God and her appreciation for beauty.
A woman of deep compassion and generosity, Julie was a volunteer for Hospice for many years. She found joy in giving back, using her time and talents to bring comfort to others. Julie also had a passion for Gospel music and loved singing alongside her husband, Denver, during church services. Her voice and spirit uplifted all who knew her.
Julie is preceded in death by her beloved son, Danny Yates; her sister, Jane Crawford-Way; and her parents, Dorothy and AK Crawford. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and artistry that will continue to inspire those who knew her. She was loved by so many, and her presence will be deeply missed.
A celebration of Julie's life will be held at Coffeyville Cemetery on February 28, 2025, with graveside services beginning at 11:00AM.
