Mrs. Mary Julia "Julie" Alder Peyton, age 86, of Thomaston, died Saturday, September 20, 2025, at her residence.

Mrs. Peyton was born in Pittsburgh, PA on July 11, 1939, to the late John James Alder Jr. and Mary Jane Lowry Alder Blankenship. She retired from West Central Georgia Bank with 35years of service and was a member of Thomaston First Assembly of God Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Peyton. She is survived by her sons, Buddy (Jodi) Peyton and Billy (Susan) Peyton; sister, Carol Carter; brothers, Scott (Betty) Alder, Danny (Bonnie) Alder, and Stanley (Alicia) Alder; grandchildren, Lori Anne (Cory) McKissick, Edward (Briana) Peyton, and Jackson Peyton.

Memorial services for Mrs. Peyton will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home, the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Coggins Funeral Home.
