She graduated from Fremont High School in 1983 and then attended AIB college of Business in Des Moines receiving a degree in business. She worked a couple years at Pella Corp before working at Montezuma Manufacturing for over 30 years planning on retiring in a couple weeks. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.
Julie was known for her unwavering dedication to her family, friends, and community. She was a kind soul who would go out of her way to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her compassionate spirit was evident in everything she did, from her tireless devotion to her family and job to her faith and active involvement in her church. In her free time, Julie enjoyed the quiet joy of crafting and was rarely without a project in hand. She cherished moments spent talking to her children and grandchildren, whose laughter and stories were the light of her life. She could often be seen spoiling her dog, Ruger, usually next to her side. Her warmth and loyalty seen in every aspect of her life. Those who knew her, knew they could rely on her strength, love, and support without question.
Julie was preceded in death by her father, Robert Floden; her son, Garrett Wernimont; and her nephew, Brandon Floden.
