My first memory of Juliette was in my job interview at GPMS. She was the Special Education leader, and was there to "size me up" as a new Special Education teacher. That was 27 years ago now. She taught me how to be a teacher, and became my friend. I was privileged to be around when she met her husband Anthony, and have sweet memories of him dropping by to tap on the Content Mastery classroom window just to wave hello, and give Juliette that big ol´ smile of his. I remember their beautiful wedding, and when she found out she was pregnant with Ashton. She was ecstatic to have that boy! He remained her pride and joy! I remember Ashton coming in after school as an elementary student- trying to stay out of trouble while we worked late. Fast forward through an award winning high school football career, and into college. Juliette shared pictures and stories of his journey. She loved Anthony and Ashton, loved teaching and mentoring teachers. She was an outspoken advocate for students with special needs, and made sure they received the best as students. I´ll never forget her smile.

I will always remember Mrs. Reynolds for wanting to promote Black Excellence and being no nonsense. I would go to her room for a quick question about a student or an upcoming plan. Before I knew it, we had talked for an hour. Her vision for how she wanted to celebrate Black History Month will be carried on.
Her classroom was right around the corner from me, so I would always hear her correcting the students. She was passionate about her job and as I mentioned no nonsense when it came to correcting disrespect. I will and have missed her dearly.

I will always remember the impact you made on my husband and I. I was worried and you told me that your birthday was close to mine so you knew how to handle yourself, we bonded so quickly. I will miss your sense of humor. It was an honor to have met you.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. I will love you and miss you always. We met as teachers but bond though our love for reading books and our sons playing football.

A cherished memory is our morning routine. Without fail, I would order us breakfast and Juliuete, with her trademark kindness, would often insist she wasn't hungry, yet she never failed to share the meal with me. Those shared breakfasts became more than just a meal-they were moments of laughter, love and friendship. Sharing those breakfasts was one of the treasured moments I've missed since no longer working at GPM.
