Julius Michael Jake, known to many as "Mike", passed away on February 17, 2025. Born on July 25, 1943, in Tacoma, Washington, Julius was a man of resilient spirit and empathetic nature. He was a proud member of the Muckleshoot tribe. Julius spent his career working in agriculture, a laborer by trade. His work took him across the country, and he had the privilege of experiencing most states in the nation. His resilience was prominent in his tireless dedication to his work, and his spirited energy was infectious to all who knew him.
In his retirement, Julius resided in Auburn, Washington where he lived for five years after spending significant time in Yakima, Washington. He was known for his love of thrifting and could often be found driving, exploring Value Village and Goodwill. A fan of sports, Julius cherished watching games with his family and his beloved dogs, Whiskers and Chantoo. It was this simple joy that mattered most to him; the love he had for his dogs was unrivaled. His Jake and Turning Rove family survive Julius. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Iva Jake.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21st, 2025, at the Muckleshoot Indian Shaker Church at 10:00am.
We encourage you to share your fondest memories of Julius and upload photos to his memorial page, providing comfort and connection in this time of remembrance.
