Pelion – Mrs. June Cushman Adkins, 84, entered into rest on Monday, September 8, 2025.

Mrs. June was married to Lawrence Henry "L.H." Adkins for 63 years until his passing in 2022. She is survived by her children: Larry Adkins and his wife Kim, Vicky Clayton and her husband Kevin, Alex Adkins, Lee Adkins and his wife Karen, grandchildren, Kristen Geddings and Stephen Oliver, Larry Adkins and his wife Rosetta, Emilee Adkins and Devin Paul, Rachale Humphrey, Amanda Clayton and LaRon Edwards, Mark Clayton and his wife Monica, Mellisa Anslow and Kevin Craft, Machell Lowder, Elizabeth Anslow, Lacey Anslow and Samuel Cullen, Lauren Anslow and Randy Hall, Rose Simmons and her husband Tommy, Breanna Adkins and Jimmy Prince, Dalton Adkins and his wife Kirsten, 41 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, siblings: Patsy Adkins, Don Cushman, Ray Cushman, Cindy Burns and her husband Allen, and Johnny Pauline and his wife Angie, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mrs. June was born on June 7, 1941, to the late Andrew Jackson Cushman and the late Mary Geneva Easler Cushman. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Lillie Geneva Adkins Corder and her husband Ricky, her daughter-in-law, Kimberly Adkins, and her siblings: Helen Garner, Betty Wortham, Jack Cushman, Phil Cushman, and Milton Cushman.

Mrs. June had a fond love for cooking, she enjoyed showing how much she cared through her food. Some of her other hobbies included fishing, sewing, making clothes, and completing word search puzzles. Mrs. June's favorite times were spent with her family; her most cherished moments were family holiday gatherings.

Memorial service will be Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. June's family will receive friends and family at the home of their mother after the memorial service.
