Fairview – Otis "Wayne" Barr, 67, peacefully went home to be with Jesus on September 2, 2025.

Wayne is the loving husband of Misty Marie Barr for 16 years. He is the father of Manette (Dushyanth) Pandana, Melvyn (Brenna) Barr, Hunter (Candice) Bickley, Madison (Cody) Wrona, and Morghan Bickley. Wayne is the proud "Pappy" of nine grandchildren: Margo Pandana, Easton Baker, Sawyer Bickley, Aubree Astralla, Harvey Pandana, Andrew Baker, Dallas Bickley, Drayton Barr, and Degan Barr. Wayne is the son of the late Otis Barr and Mamie Lorene Green Barr. He is the brother Janet (Duane) Presson, Angie (Curt) Johns, Rebecca "Becky" Boone, and Leigh (David) Pritchard. Wayne had many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved. He is the special cousin of Junette (Paul) Jeffcoat whom he loved dearly and viewed as a sister.

Wayne's family was the center of his world, and he took great pride in teaching his grandchildren about farming and the values of kindness and perseverance. Over the years, he built a life rooted in hard work and love, raising breeder chickens, beef cattle, and horses. Wayne was known for his generosity and his ability to make friends with everyone he met, always ready with a story or a helping hand. His deep connection to his community was evident in the way he supported neighbors and friends, and his legacy lives on through the many lives he touched. The loss of Wayne has left a tremendous void in the hearts of those who loved him.

The family would like to thank all of Wayne's family and friends who donated to help cover his funeral expenses.

Visitation will be 2 - 3 pm on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Mt. Hermon Baptist. Funeral Service will follow at 3 pm also in the church sanctuary. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
