June Boynton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home - Glastonbury on Dec. 26, 2025.
June (Wrisley) Boynton, 79, of Middletown, VA, beloved wife of Stephen Boynton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 with her family by her side. June was born on September 26, 1946 in Hartford to the late Francis and Adella (Elgunise) Wrisley. She was raised on Spring Street in Glastonbury and graduated from Glastonbury High School class of 1964. June was an incredibly bright and independent woman, she raised her son Martin by herself, while balancing her work as an accountant at The Hartford and going back to school to get her M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut. She would bring Martin with her everywhere, whether it was to the office or to her college classes. June worked at the Hartford Insurance for many years in the accounting department before joining Connecticut Mutual Insurance where she met the love of her life, Steve. Steve and June got married in 1986 and stayed in Connecticut until they moved to Virginia in 1998. After the move to Virginia, June changed her career and became a very successful insurance sales agent. In her free time, she enjoyed a litany of hobbies such as golfing, bowling and going for runs. However, the most enjoyment she got was riding horses, especially with her beloved granddaughter Ashley, which she did until the age of seventy-five.
June is survived by her husband Stephen of Middletown, VA, her son and daughter-in-law, Martin and Kimberly Liutermoza of Burlington, CT and her granddaughter, Ashley Liutermoza. She is also survived by her niece, Shari Maskowsky. She was predeceased by her brother Francis "Buzz" Wrisley, Jr.
Friends and family may call on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave. Glastonbury, CT. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 10:00am in Saint James Episcopal Church, 2584 Main Street, Glastonbury. We met June as an insurance broker many years ago. Over the years we knew her also as a friend. We were heart broken to speak with Stephen today and learn of her passing. As her husband, family and friends know the world has lost an amazing woman. Our deepest sympathy to all. Bill & Karen Bryan

June was the most vivacious, gregarious person I have ever known. She had boundless energy, was always optimistic and was devoted to Steve and her family. She was a true friend and will be sorely missed. You have our deepest condolences, and hope that you find peace knowing she is in God's care.

June was an extraordinary woman who loved her family and friends with her whole heart. We were truly blessed to know her and share so many moments with her and Steve. Her smile, her grace, and the light she carries could brighten any room. Heaven has gained another angel, and we know she will continue to watch over all of us. May god bless her family and friends during this time.

Renwick and Andrew.
