June Dyke, age 90, of Townsend, DE, died on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE.
Born in Passaic, NJ to the late Fedinand and Mary Schweighardt, she was a resident of Clifton, NJ for 70 years before moving to Townsend, DE 18 years ago. June was a former longtime parishioner of St. John Kanty Church in Clifton, NJ and currently a parishioner of of St. Joseph's Church in Middletown, DE. She had been employed as a teacher with Clifton Public School System for 25 years prior to her retirement. June adored her family, she was a kind and gentle soul and she was very proud of her Polish heritage.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Charles Dyke.
She is survived by her son, Glenn Dyke, and her daughter-in-law Teresa Dyke of Middletown, DE; and two grandchildren: Danielle (Kevin) Britton and Patrick Dyke.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025 from 3:00 - 6:00PM at the Whitham-Kanapaux Funeral Home, 20 Keller Ave, Rockaway, NJ 07866. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 28, 2025, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown, PA.
