June Yvonne Gilbert

June Yvonne Gilbert (nee Bellew), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, February 16, 2026, at the age of 91. Loving wife of the late Charles Wade Gilbert; beloved daughter of the late Jack W. (the late Mary Clare nee Hyde) Bellew and Verna Bellew; devoted mother of Samuel (Elisavet Vrahopoulou) Gilbert and Alice Gilbert; cherished grandmother of Sappho Gilbert and Alexander (Ana Morales) Gilbert; treasured great-grandmother of Theo Gilbert. June is also preceded in death by her brother, Garry Bellew.

June was a devoted member of St. Charles United Methodist Church. She dedicated many years as an educator before beginning a second career as a medical transcriptionist. Later, she volunteered as a tutor with OASIS, helping grade school children grow in confidence and learning. June shared 60 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Wade, until his passing. She found joy in playing the piano and tennis, cooking for those she loved, and creating beautifully crocheted blankets. In her younger years, she especially cherished the time spent at the beach. June was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
