June Diane (Rouse) Klump of Huachuca City, Arizona, formerly of Mulkeytown, Illinois, passed away on April 15, 2025, at 2:49 pm at home with her daughters surrounding her.
June was born in Joliet, Illinois, on March 25, 1938, to James M and Mary Catherine (Wendell) Rouse. She was a graduate of Downers Grove, IL High School.
She Married Harold Eugene (Gene) Klump, May 29, 1957. And spent 61 years together until his death in August of 2018.
June spent most of her married life supporting her husband in his ministry work as a Pentecostal preacher as well as raising 5 daughters.
She loved to play Bingo, a variety of card games including Pinochle, Canasta, Solitaire, Penny Ante Poker and her latest favorite 5 Crowns. She also liked to play Yahtzee and Bunco. She was an avid reader until she lost her vision. For a time, she was an Avon Representative.
She made a variety of fudge and peanut brittle that included jalapeño, peanut, and cashew/pecan brittles for fundraising to help pay for the church's bills.
She loved spending time with family and in her later years was included when the daughters started going on sister's trips, until her health prevented her from doing so.
Survivors include 5 daughters: Debra (Thomas) Fisher of Royalton, IL; Penny (David) Smith of Marshall, IL; Diane Klump of Huachuca City, AZ; Mary Walker of West Frankfort, IL; Darla Izzo (Toby Campbell) of Huachuca City, AZ. Also included are 16 grandchildren: Nancy (Daniel) Hilligoss, Melanie (Miles) Hopper, Mindy Sorensen, Andy (Danielle) Fisher, Emily Howell, Amanda (James) Day, Nathan (Betsy) Smith, Cortney (Jesse) Newbold, Jacob Smith, Michael (Christina) Klump, Jackie (Jason) Beal, Jayma Trusty, Chelsea (Frankie) Cruz, Krystal (Robert) Altamirano, Megan (Zachary) Lewis, and Teyla Izzo, as well as 32 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, great-granddaughter Roxanne Pullum, son-in-laws: Michael Walker and Anthony Izzo.
Funeral Service will be on April 18, 2025, at Richardson's Remembrance Center – 725 E 4th Street, Benson, AZ 85602. The viewing will be from 3:00 – 4:00 pm, the funeral to follow starting at 4:00 pm with Brother David Smith officiating. The burial will be at Cochise Gardens of Rest Cemetery – Post Road, Benson, AZ 85602 directly following the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of June may be made to the Dementia Society of America.
