June Carr Langenhan, 98, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 19, 2025. She was born in Cleveland, OH on July 2, 1926. June was the only child of the late Earnest Edwin and May (Heidelman) Carr, and grew up in Bay Village, OH and spent most of her adult life in Stamford, CT.
She is predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Robert, who she followed to Brussels to marry. She is survived by her children and spouses: Susan (Langenhan) Husta and son-in-law Bruce Husta, and Robert J. and daughter-in-law Debra Langenhan. June also leaves behind 6 grandchildren and spouses and 5 great grandchildren: Christopher, Robert and Gregory Husta; Monica (Langenhan) and John Williscroft and their child Edward; Gayle (Langenhan) and William Tindle and their children, Thea and Wiley; and Diane (Langenhan) and Mike Valentine and their children, Skylar and Alex.
June was a sweet wife and mother who was devoted to her family. After graduating from Miami University (Ohio), she worked at Halle Bros. (Cleveland, OH) as a Millinery Buyer. After her work in retail, she was active in her children's lives especially volunteering in numerous competitive swim team managerial roles. Once her children were out on their own and during her retirement years, she enjoyed Friends of Ferguson Library, real estate, playing tennis, travelling and participating/organizing membership in learning and retirement.
Funeral services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
The family requests that any memorial donations be made to: First Presbyterian Church, 1101 Bedford Street, Stamford, CT, 06905.
