Weatherford ~ June Yale Lemond, 90, went to be with our Lord Sunday, January 19, 2025 in Weatherford.
Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 24th, at Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
June was born on August 21, 1934 to William O’Dell and Thelma Alzera (Matthews) Yale in Chico. She was united in marriage to Forrest C. Lemond on August 9, 1952 in Austin, they were together for 69 beautiful years before his passing in 2021. Throughout her life, June served as an executive secretary, contributing her skills and dedication for many years. She was an active member of Alvord Methodist Church and Crafton Baptist Church, where her warmth and spirit touched the lives of many. June was a beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother of 3 generations, sister, and a friend to many that will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Thelma Yale; her son, Thomas Allen “Bo” Lemond; her grandson, Brent Lemond; and her sister, Elizabeth McDaniel.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Linda Colleen Hatcher and husband Danny of Weatherford; her sons, Mike Lemond and wife Donna of Yantis and Kevin Lemond and wife Sheila of Alvord; her daughter-in-law, Christy Gilbreath of Weatherford; her grandchildren, Tracy and Kelly Nix both of Weatherford, Jaclyn Rodriguez of Cisco, Angie English of Brashear, Jason Lemond of Caddo Mills, Paul Lemond of Yantis, Colt Lemond of Alvord, Audra Sharp, April Lane, Forrest Allen Lemond and Jared Lemond all of Weatherford; 33 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Jean McClure of Decatur; her brother, Marion Yale of Alvord; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
