June Reynolds Lester of Halifax, beloved mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025. She was born in Gretna, VA on September 21, 1930, to the late Clyde Vivian Reynolds and the late Fannie Peak Reynolds. She was married 68 years to the late Delbert Adams Lester.
June was a faithful member of Halifax United Methodist Church where she was a choir member and served as church treasurer. She found peace and comfort in tending to her flower and vegetable garden. Her life was a testament to the belief that with a little patience and a lot of love, anything could grow and flourish.
Left to cherish her memory are her children. Bonnie Lester Henderson of San Antonio, TX, June Yvonne Hopper (Jim) of Ocean Springs, MS, Delbert Gene Lester (Barbara) of Clarksville, and James Reynolds Lester of Halifax; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery, with Rev. Thad Decker officiating.
