June A. Loudermilk, 95, a resident at National HealthCare (NHC) in Anderson, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, surrounded by her family.
Born in Port Hope, Michigan on December 20, 1929, she was the daughter of Emma Zick and Paul Timreck. She grew up on a farm and after World War II, she left high school to get a factory job in Detroit, Michigan to help support herself and her family. It was in Detroit where she met her husband of 65 years, Quenten Loudermilk. They were married on September 11, 1954, in Port Hope, Michigan. Twelve years later, they welcomed their only child, a son, Eric Loudermilk in 1966. June was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan. June enjoyed cooking, gardening, and going to church. She was a devout Christian, and a devoted wife and mother.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Gwyn Loudermilk and her four grandchildren, Katherine Williford, Benjamin, Nicholas, and Elizabeth Loudermilk, all of Anderson, South Carolina. June had three sisters who preceded her in death, Beatrice Pardeik, Nora Platte, and Mildred Biener.
Burial will be at the M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson, South Carolina at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 18, 2025. Grayson L. Gipson will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
