It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of June Carol (Davis) (Mullen) Rayno, in the comfort of the Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, on May 31, 2025, at the age of 80.
June is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband, Eugene Rayno, of almost 26 years.
Born in Fall River, MA, on December 11, 1944, she was the only daughter of the late Frank B. and Doris M. Davis. She is survived by an older brother, Richard (Bobbi) Davis, and a younger brother, Kenneth (Diane) Davis, both of the Sarasota area in Florida. She also leaves two nephews, Cory (Desiree) Davis and Kip (Burgess) Davis, a grand niece, Allessandra, and two grand nephews, Rex and Reed.
June moved to Little Compton in 1951 with her family, graduated J.F. Wilbur High School in 1962 and attended Mt. Ida College in Newton, MA. June loved to cruise the open seas and to any and all ports of call, and without notice, book trips to Sandals Resorts. Along with her husband Eugene, she was a member of the Newport Lodge of Elks #104 for many years. June was a patriot to the heart and had an independent spirit that she carried with her all her life.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, with visitation from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a funeral service to immediately follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. The service will be livestreamed at https://link.memorial/jrayno
Burial will follow in Newport Memorial Park, Middletown.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 3:00-5:00 PM, in the Newport Elks Lodge #104, 141 Pelham St, Newport.
