June Karen Sheaffer,74, of Bossier City LA, passed away on May 11, 2023. She was born on June 9, 1948, to Arval Morrell Davidson and Peggy Marie Turley Davidson, in Shreveport LA. June was a graduate of Bossier High School and Ayers School of Business. She spent most of her career working for the Civil Service as a Contracting Agent. She retired after thirty years of service. June was an avid member of an Antique Car Club in Pennsylvania where she lived most of her adult life. Bossier was always home, and when she moved back, she loved playing cards with her friends as far back as elementary school and her new best friend “Faye.”
Preceding June in death are Walter and Willie Turley, maternal grandparents; Green and Savannah Davidson, paternal grandparents; and her parents, Morrell, and Marie Davidson.
She is survived by her son, Robert Armstrong of Mechanicsburg, PA; grandchildren Lauren and Ben; step- grandchildren, Alicia, Matthew, Cheyenne and Austin; her only sibling, Debra Kay Sheets-Isenhour and husband Larry of Bossier City, LA; nephews Shawn Grieder and wife Debbie of Keller, TX, and Tyler Sheets and wife Chesli of Bossier, LA; three great-nieces, Norah, Loralye and Amelia; three great-nephews, Mack, Tucker and Hunter; and a host of wonderful cousins.
Services for June will be May 20, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Hurricane Methodist Church in Athens, LA. Rev. Tommy Davidson will be presiding. June’s cremains will be interred in Hurricane Cemetery following the service. Serving as pallbearer will be Scott Davidson.
The family suggests memorials to American Heart Association.
