Connie June Tomes 91, of Bethany Missouri passed away Saturday, November 16th, 2024.
June was born December 14th, 1932, the daughter of Geneva (Rosson) Henry and Connie C. Henry in La Luz, New Mexico.
June graduated from Alamogordo High School and began her work career in El Paso, Texas where she met David Junior Tomes and they were married on April 15th, 1954. The couple moved to the Cainsville/Ridgeway area where June was a homemaker. During their union they were blessed with three daughters; Debra Kay Tomes, Sandra Sue (Willis), and Lori Lea (Godfrey). June enjoyed gardening, sewing, and spending time with grandkids and was a faithful member of the Eagleville church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Tomes and her parents.
Survivors are her daughters; Debbie Tomes of St Joe, MO, Sue Willis (Raymond), Cainsville, MO, Lori Godfrey (Russell), St. Charles, IA; grandchildren; Jamie Watson (Petey), Jason Willis (Beth), Jeana Kampman (Jason), Matthew Godfrey (Abby), Rob Godfrey, Tyler Godfrey, and Chris Godfrey; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
The family will hold a Visitation for both June and Junior Tomes on Friday, November 29th, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Eagleville church of Christ, 13021 Ginkgo Street, Eagleville, MO 64442. Memorial services will begin at 11 a.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to Bohemian Cemetery and/or Three Rivers Hospice. Online condolences may be left at www.robersonfuneralhome.com.
