June H. (Lynn) Vatter, 90, of Loyalhanna Township, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025 in Scenery Hill Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Indiana.

Born December 31, 1934 in Edri, PA, she was a daughter of the late Martin H. Lynn & Ethel H. (Heasley) Lynn.

June lived in Saltsburg all of her life. She worked as a police communication supervisor for SLYBAC, a dispatcher for Indiana County Control, and as a correspondent for the Indiana Gazette & Blairsville Dispatch. She also worked for the Saltsburg Press and the Avonmore Country Caller.

June was a member of the Saltsburg United Methodist Church, a life member of the Saltsburg V.F.D., and was a part of the Postal Service Advisory Council; she served with Cub Scouts for 10 years.

June enjoyed gardening, relaxing at her camp in Tionesta, taking care of her cats, baking, painting, photography, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph G. Vatter, who passed away on November 22, 2020.

June is survived by her sons, Joseph D. (Halaine) Vatter of Saltsburg, John L. (Cynthia) Vatter of Clarksburg, James M. (Chris) Vatter of Latrobe, and Jonathan E. "Jerry" Vatter of Saltsburg; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Martin W. (Patricia) Lynn of Saltsburg and Thomas E. Lynn of Saltsburg; and two nieces and one nephew.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Curran Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 701 Salt Street, Saltsburg. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Saltsburg United Methodist Church, 813 Salt Street, with Pastor Sharon Waltenbaugh officiating. PLEASE EVERYONE MEET AT CHURCH. Private Interment in Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in June's memory to the Saltsburg V.F.D., 313 Salt St., Saltsburg, PA 15681 or to Saltsburg United Methodist Church, Po Box 140 Saltsburg, PA 15681.
