June Estelle Wright

Mrs. June Estelle McEntyre Wright, age 92, of Rome, GA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Wright was born in Rome, Georgia, on June 1, 1933, daughter of the late Albert Lee McEntyre and the late Blanch Estelle Brown McEntyre. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Weyman Maxwell "Max" Wright, Sr., and her siblings, Mary Ruth Rochester, Lloyd McEntyre, and T.W. McEntyre.

June had several jobs throughout the years, but raising her six children and being involved with their lives was her passion. She enjoyed spending time outdoors working in her yard. She was a member at Skyline Baptist Church, where her late husband was one of the founding members.

Survivors include her children, Weyman M. Wright, Jr. (Ellen), Darlene Wallace (Mike), Mitzi Huggins, and her late husband Bill Huggins, Connie Price, Cherri Wright, and Jody Wright (Traci); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; her siblings, Sam McEntyre, Norma Worthington, and Kay Braden; numerous nieces, nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 1:00pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, with the Rev. Dean Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Oostanaula United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 11:00am until the hour of service at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel.

Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, on Friday by 12:30pm and include; Paul Wallace, Daniel Huggins, Adam Wright, David Price, Toby Price, Trace Radcliff, Taylor Wright, Jackson Wright, and Billy Huggins.
