Junia "Kay" Davis, 82, of Louisville, OH passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025. She was born September 10, 1943 in Canton, OH to the late Mearl and Violet Pickett. She was a member of Christ Church in Louisville.
Kay was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Gerald "Mark" Davis Sr in September, 2025 and her sister, Delores "Wavey" Barnett. She is survived by her daughter, Candy (Fiancée Rod Hoover) Aguredakes; two sons, Mark (Veronica) Davis Jr, Troy (Tammie) Davis; seven grandchildren, Tracy (EJ) Clapper, Cory (Kati) Reinhart, Kelsey (Austin) Davis, Jessica (Zachary) Ebert, Emily (Dallas) Woods, Torrie Davis, and Tyler Davis, and six great-grandchildren, Junia, Mykel, Jackson, Carsen, Archer and Madelyn.
Kay was a remarkable woman whose life was defined by her unwavering faith and boundless love for her family. As a devoted follower of Christ, she lived her life with a sense of purpose and compassion.
Kay's love language was giving, and she found joy in sacrificing her own desires to ensure her children had everything they needed and wanted.
She enjoyed shopping to find gifts for her family and friends, always seeking out items that would bring joy and happiness to those she cared about.
Kay's heart was full of love not only for her children but also for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She treasured moments spent with them, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
One of Kay's talents was her skill in the kitchen, where she enjoyed baking and cooking for her loved ones. Her Christmas cookies, homemade noodles, and peanut butter balls, also known as Buckeyes, were favorites among family and friends. These treats were more than just food; they were a symbol of the love and care she felt for those she made them for.
Kay will be missed by her family and friends but there is comfort knowing that she is now in heaven reunited with the love of her life, Mark Davis Sr.
Funeral services will be 1pm Friday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Pastor Michael Grant officiating. Calling hours will be 12-1pm Friday at the funeral home. Kay will be laid to rest, beside her husband, in Union Cemetery, Louisville, OH.
