Junior Townsend Obituary
Mr. Townsend was born on May 6, 1949 in Pike County Ga, to the late Robert L. Townsend and the late Lillian Drake Townsend. He retired from Thomaston Mills and Quad Graphics after many years. Mr. Townsend was a member of the Montgomery Lodge 31 Masonic Post and served over 25 years in Al Shri Nah. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Ellen Townsend, brothers Bobby Townsend, Robert Townsend Jr., Harvey Lee Townsend, sisters Margie Webb, Frances Townsend.
Survivors include his daughter Penny Townsend, son Sean (Stacy) Townsend, grandchildren Jessica (Josh) Smith, Noah (Grayce) Townsend, Addy Townsend, Cooper Townsend, Hailey Daniels.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday December 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Thursday December 12, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
