Justin Patrick Mayer

Justin Patrick Mayer, age 37, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home on December 8, 2025.
Justin grew up in Harper Woods, Michigan, where he spent his childhood and teenage years before later making his home in St. Clair Shores. He graduated from Harper Woods High School and went on to build a successful career in the heating and cooling industry (HVAC). Over nearly 20 years, Justin worked as a certified HVAC technician for several companies, where he was known for his strong work ethic, skill, and dedication to helping others.
Outside of work, Justin found joy in music. He loved listening to music and especially enjoyed playing guitar in his spare time. He was also very technically inclined and had a natural talent for fixing things and coming up with creative solutions to problems. Whether it was a broken item or a tricky project, Justin was often the one people turned to for help.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Mayer; his brother, Jeffery Mayer; and his grandparents, Richard and Helen Elegert.
Justin is survived by his loving mother, Sandra Mayer; his brother, Michael Mayer; his son, Ryan Jackson; his sister-in-law, Kristen Mayer; his niece, Atlee Mayer; and his nephew, Hayes Mayer. He is also lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation for Justin will take place on Friday, December 12th from 12 noon to 4pm at Verheyden Funeral Home, 16300 Mack Ave., Grosse Pointe Park.
