Justin "JuJu" David McBroom, a loving father, beloved son, brother, and uncle passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at the age of 39, followed by his soul mate, Casey Wray Wilkins.
Justin is survived by: his parents, Paul and Nancy McBroom; his three sons, Anderson Brumfield Jr., Jaxon Kye McBroom, and Kason David Wray McBroom; one maternal grandmother, Beulah Hoover; one brother, Jeffrey Paul McBroom and wife Mindi; two sisters, Jamie House and husband Anthony, Jessica Wilson and husband James; one granddaughter, Andie Jo Brumfield; five nieces and nephews, Gracyn Wilson, Brayden Wilson, Kamryn Wilson, Jordyn (JoJo) McBroom, and Reid McBroom; and a tight-knit group of friends who were like family to him.
He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Leo Hoover and his paternal grandparents, Henry and Martha McBroom.
Justin was a devoted father whose world revolved around his sons. He wholeheartedly embraced their passions and hobbies, spending quality time with them and celebrating their unique interests. A constant presence in their lives, he generously supported and sponsored countless school events and never missed an opportunity to cheer them on. Above all, Justin was their greatest champion-his love, pride, and unwavering support defined his role as a father.
Justin was the owner/operator of McBroom Logging, and loved the outdoors, a passion that started with his first toy skidder at age 2. Justin also loved to tinker on all things mechanical. An interest he also developed at a young age when he disassembled his mother's sewing machine. If Justin wasn't logging or tinkering, he was often found in the company of family, usually with a baby in his arms, dubbed by family as the baby snatcher. Justin shared a special bond with his nieces and nephews, and his love for them was unmistakable. He showed up for every moment that mattered-whether it was a game, a birthday party, or a school event. His constant support and joyful presence made him more than just an uncle; he was a trusted friend and role model. Affectionately known as "Uncle JuJu," he held a cherished place in their hearts.
Justin had a reputation for his generosity, moral character, and selflessness. In fact, on the day of his death he was returning from a charity event. He leaves behind a legacy of selfless love that will forever be an inspiration. Justin will live on in our hearts, be deeply missed, and always remembered.
Funeral service will be held 12 PM Thursday, August 28, 2025 at F.I.T. Community Church (500 Lucy Garrett Road, Roxboro). Officiating will be the Pastor Brad Wesley. Burial will follow in the Cooper Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service (10 AM-12 PM).
