Justin Jerome Radtke, age 39, of Clackamas, Oregon, formally of Watertown, SD, was called to heaven on June 28th, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. Funeral Services will be 10:30 am, Saturday, July 6, 2024, at St. Martins Lutheran Church in Watertown, SD. Pastor Aaron Odya will officiate. Music will provided by Matt Weseloh as organist. The funeral service will be live-streamed by St. Martins Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Friday, July 5, 2024, at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown.
Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery at a later date once the cremation is completed. Honorary pallbearers will be Branden Korth, Kelly Martin, Lloyd and Julie Kranz Family, and Derrick Smith. Active pallbearers will be Doug Schiernbeck, Brian Heim, Dave Francis, Kendall Bailey, and Kenny Knopp.
Justin was born on October 13th, 1984 in Watertown SD to parents Jerome and Darlene (Harstad) Radtke. Justin grew up working on the family farm north of Watertown. Justin graduated from Lake Area Tech with a degree in Machine Tool Technology in 2005.
He worked for JMS precision until he moved to Portland, OR, where he worked as a machinist. Justin later moved to Clackamas, OR where he was a machinist for Vigor Works Inc. Justin was responsible for machining custom parts for US Navy and Coast Guard ships.
Justin came home after learning he had cancer in May 2024. When Justin was not working, he enjoyed spending time with his lifelong friend Branden Korth, and Branden's girlfriend Kelly Martin. He enjoyed going to movies and any type of gaming. He had a kind heart and soul. When Justin was at home he loved spending time with family, sitting back and listening to stories of his family history.
Justin is survived by his loving parents, Jerome and Darlene Radtke of Watertown, SD; his sister Jessica (Craig) Kruse; his nieces Addison and Avery Kruse all of Watertown, SD; his Aunt and Uncle Judy and Don Heim, Watertown, SD; his Aunt Marion Goetsch, Nassau, MN, his Aunt and Uncle Diane and Bob Swaney, San Antonio, TX; his Uncle and Aunt Milo and Cathy Harstad, Nassau, MN; and many cousins.
Justin was preceded in death by his grandparents Edgar and Florence Radtke and Nils and Mildred Harstad; his Uncle Wilbert Goetsch; his Aunt and Uncle Wanda and Emil Jr. Misar, Aunt Sandra Lorenzen, and Uncle's Ardene and Larry Harstad; and cousin Darrell Misar.
