Justin Michael Waugh, age 27, of Richmond, Kentucky, passed away tragically on Sunday, November 10, 2024 in Richmond. He was born on September 10, 1997 in Lexington.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Judy Ann Sutton and James Lynch, of Middlesboro and his infant brother, Gabriel Waugh.
Justin is survived by his parents, Michael Jack Waugh and Salena Sue (Lynch) Waugh of Richmond; his grandparents, Donald Jack Waugh and Connie Jill Waugh of Richmond; his sister Hannah Michelle (Waugh) Leabo and her husband John Charles Leabo of Lexington; his sister, Alena Grace Waugh of Richmond; many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins from Middlesboro, Richmond, Lexington, and Spartanburg, SC and countless other loved ones and dear friends, some but not nearly all including, Dakota Fish and Emily Fish, Mason Fish, Justin Eades, Nick Barron, Trey Byers, and Nash Courtwright.
Justin grew up and attended school in Middlesboro and Richmond. Starting from a young age, Justin exhibited his talents as a technical wizard by filming and editing plenty of skateboard reels and goofy videos with his friends. He continued pursuing this passion by working on computers with his Dad and cars with his Papaw, and went to school for computer science. As a skilled IT engineer and network administrator, he kindly and patiently helped numerous people in the area with a plethora of computer-related issues.
A gifted guitar player, Justin loved listening to all kinds of music, especially the Beatles. In his free time, he enjoyed playing all kinds of video games, going fishing, and getting up to hijinks and tomfoolery in the Union City area with his best buddies. As a child and adult, Justin also had fun dressing up as Spiderman, even if the costume was two sizes too small. Always having a quick-witted joke at the ready or a funny video of his two rambunctious tomcats at hand, Justin had a penchant for making all those around him laugh, smile, and feel included. He talked about his friends and family in a way that made it seem like you had known them for just as long as he had and were accepted and loved just as much as he was.
A time of visitation will be held from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.
