Justs Grinvalds Obituary
Mourning him are his beloved partner, Melinda von Reis, children Justs (Rocky) and Anna, granddaughters, brother Ulvis, and countless friends. Born in Riga, Latvia on March 18, 1942, while the country was under German occupation, his family left Latvia in 1944 for displaced persons camps following the Russian occupation of Latvia.
Justs learned early how to thrive in the face of adversity. The Grinvalds family emigrated to Hastings, MI in 1951. Justs was a 1961 graduate of Hastings High School School and attended Miami of Ohio on an athletic scholarship. He thereafter pursued a career as an astute consultant to dozens of Fortune 500 companies.
Justs was known by his loved ones for his compassion, his pervasive curiosity, And wicked sense of humor. As a father, he guided his children to make their own choices. As a friend, he was always ready to listen and encourage. As Melinda's partner, he knew and gave unconditional love and support.
