Richard W. Poll, "Bopee", or affectionately known to some as "Team", passed, 79, away Sunday, March 1, 2026. Rich was born on March 26, 1946, to Alonzo "Lon" Henry and Patricia (Winters) Poll. Rich attended Old Orchard School, Howe Military Academy, Miami University and the University of Toledo.
He married, the love of his life, Janet L. Polderman; they have a son, Scott T. Poll, and daughter, Julie L. Prosser. They were also proud pet parents, over the years, to Heidi, Radar, Otis, Ziggy, Buckeye, Carmen and Jughead.
He worked at The H. Poll Electric Company over 50 years, before retirement.
Rich was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo and Patricia Poll; in laws, Herman and Pauline Polderman and Howe brother, Joseph Willimeng.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jan, son Scott (Carrie), daughter Julie (Keith) Prosser, grandsons Brendan T. Riggs, Tyler Potter, and sisters Elizabeth (Jeffery) Ziegler, Katherine (Craig) Looney, Susan Poll. Along with many loving and caring nieces, nephews, cousins and Howe brothers.
No services will be held. Donations, in Rich's name, can be made to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Cancer Center.
