William L. Pfaff, of Hudson, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Hillsdale Hospital with his loving wife by his side. He was born March 30, 1944, in Detroit, MI to Raymond H. Pfaff, Sr. and Mae Bickert Pfaff.

Bill graduated from Waite High School in 1962 and got his Master's Degree from the University of Toledo. He was employed for over 25 years by Toledo Public Schools, teaching Math at Macomber High School and Robinson Junior High School.

He enjoyed camping and boating in Michigan's natural beauty. He liked working on cars and owned a shop in Toledo and was also a partner in a home improvement business. He was a friend to many and always willing to help others.

He married the love of his life, Pamela Gore Podgorski, on September 13, 1996, in Toledo, Ohio. He and his wife visited many national parks and went on many road trips. They enjoyed going to Hawaii, Costa Rica and Aruba. His favorite place to travel was Cancun, Mexico. All his beloved pets were his "kids" and They were very spoiled and well taken care of. His friends said that when they died, they wanted to come back as one of his pets.

Bill is survived by his wife, Pamela Pfaff, his sons, Gary and Ryan Podgorski (Danyll), and grandchildren, Maysen and Brady. He had a special bond with his dear niece, Lynn Pfaff Zeitler, who was very supportive during his battle with cancer. He was preceded death by his parents and his brother, Raymond H. Pfaff, Jr.

His wish was to be cremated with his pet's ashes and a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in his honor to The Greater Hillsdale Humane Society or any other animal assistance organization.
