JW Olson, 79, of Walla Walla passed away October 11, 2025. JW was born July 16, 1946 in Williston, ND to David Henry Olson and Evis Graham Olson. He attended Fortuna, ND schools and Walla Walla Community College. On May 6, 1984, JW went on a first date with Hazel Lillian Olson in Albuquerque, NM. In 1988 they moved to Walla Walla. JW enjoyed photography, carpentry, naturopathy, herbology, disc golf, locksmith, guitar/musician, ham radio and was a devote follower of Christ. JW ran Olson's Motorcycle Service with his brother David. JW was preceded in death by his parents, David and Evis Olson, niece Charity Olson, Sister Koko (Olson) Campbell and nephew David Base II. JW is survived by wife Hazel Olson, daughters Desiree (Sam) Weber, Jennifer Olson, sons Jerry (Sheri) Perkins, Harvey (Angie) Olson, Nicholas Olson, sisters Jean (Dave) Base, Layne (Dave) Martin, Deborah (Rick) Faye, brothers David Olson, Rick (Cindy) Olson, 16 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at The Village SDA Church. A graveside service will follow at 4:00pm at Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Upper Columbia Academy at www.ucaa.org for the education of his grandchildren, donations can be made "in memory of JW Olson".
