Karen Jean Asbury (Rentler), 70, of Dormont, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 4, 2025. Karen was born to the late Joseph and Antoinette ("Toni") Rentler on July 8, 1955, in Forest Hills, Pennsylvania. On May 17, 1975, she married David Ray Asbury, her husband of 50 years, to whom she dedicated her life. As a valued National City employee, she retired in 2015 after over 30 years in banking. Karen was best known for her quick wit, devotion to family, and love for serving her church community.
Karen is survived by her beloved spouse, David; her adoring children, Jason (Sarah) Asbury and Phillip (Christine) Asbury; and her many cherished grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Mark (Meg) Rentler and Joseph Rentler; sister, Beth (Chris) Egan; sister-in-law, Joan Rentler; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Rentler and Paul Rentler.
Arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Family and friends are welcome at 2630 W Liberty Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15216 (412-531-4000) on Sunday, November 9, 2025 for visitation, held from 2-6 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment is private.
